14:40-15:00 Technology innovation for safety, productivity and product quality – Aerosol microleak detection system

Stefan Lau, Business Development Manager, Emerson

In the aerosol-filling industry, safety is an important aspect, not only during the production phase, but also throughout the supply chain. From the factory, transportation and consumers.

The traditional propellant is LPG and this goes a long way back as one of the most cost effective and efficient propellant. However, it’s explosiveness impose safety concerns in aerosol-filling factories. In the hands of the consumer, cans may explode if ambient temperature is too high.

As both populations and consumerism rise, the need for these aerosol consumer products are ever increasing.

We can help aerosol-filling factories to adapt to this challenge by helping them to maximize their production line rates, from the traditional 60 cans/min up to 600 cans/min.

10:20-10:40 The Double-Bag Ultimate Aerosol

Yoshiaki Iwasaki, Toyo Aerosol Industry Co., Ltd.

Yoshiaki will present their brand new technology at the show: the Double-Bag Ultimate Aerosol.

Easy: two contents can be discharged at the same time by just one push.

Environmental: environmentally-conscious compressed air, nitrogen is used as a propellant.

Effective: the two contents are preserved separately.

Sanitary: has the original barrier capability of an aerosol.

10:40-11:00 NanoSalt: Aerosol dispenser innovation for public health benefits

Antal Gyorgy Almásy, Chemical Engineer and R&D Director, AeroService

NanoSalt Aerosol, a new step forward in public health. Applying table salt in nanometric form using the aerosol dispenser is a 7,000-year advance in the state-of-the-art.

The result directly leads to a drastic reduction of the amount of sodium in the human diet, without affecting its pleasant taste, helping to prevent hypertension and benefiting public health.

11:00-11:20 E-commerce dispensing pump design

Molly Meng, International Marketing and Foreign Trade Sales representative, ZhongShan Luencheong Dispensing Pump Ltd

Established in 1994, the company has developed into a worldwide business with a modern plant of 50,000sqm and a working team of over 1,500 staff, among whom are 50 compound administrating talents and 100 outstanding technicians.

Waterproof design: Effectively prevent outer liquid (water) and impurity from entering into bottle through pump gap, to decrease the risk of liquid contamination.

Spring outside: Spring outside pump is developed to avoid food grade liquid – the liquid can cause chemical reaction with metal and other products are polluted during production, storage and usage.

Overflow prevention design: our new device can decrease the overflowed liquid.

ECO-DESIGN AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTS

14:00-14:20 President

Peter Lamboy, Consultant, Kao Corp. Japan

14:20-14:40 An actuator designed to improve ecological spray properties

Roland Vanblaere, Founder, GreenSpray

The last 20 years has been characterised by search of ecological solutions for many products worldwide.

Dispensing and spraying of products fit into these ecological ideas. One of the issues was the use of chemical crude oil-based propellants. From the beginning, the use of compressed gas (air, nitrogen) systems was developed. The result of using compressed gas (air, nitrogen) is an inconsistent flow and particle size during the dispensing process. The challenge was to control output and particle size from the start to the end of the dispensing. Up until now, there were no systems bringing complete answers, except for GreenSpray.

The GreenSpray solution is an actuator development that solves the negative effects of the compressed gas system. Now the actuator controls output and particle size from start to the end.

The special designed engine can fit into any existing cap design. It is obvious that the formulation should be adapted for the chemical free propellant system.

By using no chemical propellants, the ecological and energy balance of the aerosol use will improve drastically.

14:40-15:00 Raku-raku eco pack refill for consciousness of environment with universal design

Noboru Yashima, Senior Manager R&D – Core Technology – Package Development Research, Kao Japan

Inagawa Yoshinori, Director R&D – Core Technology – Package Development Research, Kao Japan

Kao has been promoting its 3R (REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE). We believe REDUCE and REUSE are more important as well as RECYCLE.

Following this design philosophy, Raku-raku Eco Pack Refill was developed and released in Japan, in 2016.

This package not only reduces COemissions compared to standard refill pouch, but it is also overwhelmingly easy to use for children and elderly people.

During the presentation, the advance “Smart Holder” package will be introduced.

15:00-15:20 2017: the breakthrough year of digital printing for round hollow bodies

Alexander Hinterkopf, Managing Director, Hinterkopf GmbH

Today’s requirements for modern printing machines are enormous. Top print quality and optimal use of resources are of utmost importance. The new D240 covers both and can offer even more. Photo-realistic pictures with vibrant and vivid colors and pin sharp texts open up new options for the marketing of cans. Small editions or samples can be produced at any time.

We assume 2017 was the breakthrough year of digital printing for round hollow bodies. It is not a surprise that Hinterkopf continues to expand its competitive advantage in digital printing. The D80 and D120 are two new compact versions of the revolutionary D240 and provide optimum print on demand at reasonable cost.
